
I am a psychology researcher working as a Lecturer in Psychology at Leeds Trinity University, and as a researcher for Disabled Students UK. I was awarded my PhD Psychology at the University of Huddersfield in 2024, working with the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Yorkshire Applied Research Collaborations (opens new window). My research interests are in chronic health conditions, including mental health, as well as disability and identity.
Prior to becoming an academic gained my BA Musicology (2009) and MA Applied Research and Constancy (2010) at Lancaster University. I worked for over 10 years in I worked in the arts and third sector in a variety of events management and volunteer coordinator roles for organisations such as Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival, Opera North, Harrogate International Festivals and Wiltshire Music Centre. I then branched out into fundraising for charitable organisations, working in both small community charities and bigger institutions such as the NHS and University of Bath. I joined the team at the Leeds Trinity University as a Lecturer in Psychology in August 2023.
