Facilitators accessing green spaces

I am currently working as a research assistant on a mixed methods research project exploring the facilitators of accessing green spaces.

The project is being run at the University of Huddersfield by Dr. Chris Neale, Prof. Nigel King, Prof. Viv Burr and Dr. Clementinah Rooke.

The aim of the project is to explore the facilitators, rather than barriers, people experience in accessing green spaces, particularly in underrepresented groups in society, such as older adults.

Survey data is being collected to gain a ‘National picture’, along side focus groups. The research is being supported by local ‘green space’ organisations including Mosaic Peak District (South Yorkshire), Super Slow Way (Lancashire) and Smile Foundation (East Yorkshire).

Data collection and analysis is ongoing, watch this space for the results!
