Louisa Peters Research

The R3connect project developed and run by Psychologist Dr Louisa Peters (link opens new window)and artist, Creative Producer and researcher Doll (link opens new window). The project aimed to visualise academic research findings and lived experiences on how creative activities help people to live well with mental health conditions (link opens new window). The project was run through Art Anon (link opens new window), a Manchester based arts collective. In May-July 2023 R3Connect ran a free animation course funded by The National Lottery Community Fund for individuals with lived experience, with special guest artist Michelle Duxbury (link opens new window). The course resulted in seven short animations being produced by participants which will be screened during the R3Connect live tour. Plus a new piece of music was commissioned from composer Nicholas Peters (link opens new window) to translate the research findings into a piece of music performed by Leeds based ensemble The Clothworkers Quartet (link opens new window).
